Feeling Alive ...

Do you know what it means to truly be alive? No. Not that corrupt falsity related to breathing or a heartbeat. But life being those moments when you skip one or three breaths from the being unveiled to the fact that you mean the world to someone. Someone you perhaps thought could careless if you lived. You know, those special moments where you get five minutes away your cube monkey-like existence to actually give of yourself and be grateful for the opportunity.

Your smile gleams. You laugh like an oozy, and can’t help it because you have, for that moment, the one thing that actually makes you feel alive.

Nothing else matters. Not your nagging boss. Not your annoying co-workers. Not even the things that you continually put off that you know you need to do. Nothing. Unfortunately, it's back to your feeble existence. Wake, Work, Eat, Sleep, Shit, Repeat. Those are the moments that I live and die for everyday. They are few and far between, but when they come they are magnanimous. There are few people who can give this feeling ever in life. If you know what I’m talking about, appreciate those people for what they’re worth and you might just have a heaven-like experience here on this earth. ...
